Mukkani Foundation Lauded for Providing Welfare Assistance to Over 100 Differently-Abled and Elderly Individuals

Mukkani Humanitarian Foundation celebrated its 12th Annual Harmony Festival in Coimbatore, distributing welfare aids to over 100 differently-abled and elderly individuals from various communities.


Coimbatore: The Mukkani Humanitarian Foundation celebrated its 12th Annual Harmony Festival at Rainbow Colony in Sugunapuram area of Coimbatore. The event, led by the foundation's founder O. Ismail, saw the distribution of welfare assistance to over 100 differently-abled individuals, visually impaired persons, mentally challenged people, and elderly citizens from various parts of the city.

The ceremony was attended by foundation officials including S. Kumar, N. Mohamed Asik, R. Mohamed Yusuf, M. Rajkumar, K. Nivetha, G. Danapal, K. Punitha, O. Kaja Sharif, R. Manigandan, Ramesh Deepak, R. Nirmala Bharathi, P. Nagaraj, S. Gaurisankar, T. Manigandan, and S. Samrin.



As part of the welfare initiatives, 15 individuals received sewing machines, while visually impaired persons were provided with modern walking sticks designed for independent mobility. Differently-abled recipients were given tricycles to aid their movement. Additionally, the foundation distributed rice, groceries, and various other essential items to the beneficiaries.

The event also honored outstanding social activists with lifetime achievement awards for their selfless service to society. The festival included cultural performances showcasing Tamil heritage, including traditional drum music, Silambattam (a weapon-based martial art), and dance performances.

The Mukkani Humanitarian Foundation's efforts in supporting the underprivileged and differently-abled communities have been widely appreciated. The organization's commitment to improving the lives of those in need continues to make a significant impact in Coimbatore.
