New Fair Price Shop Inaugurated in Vaigai Nagar, Ward 90, Coimbatore

Thondamuthur Ravi, DMK North District Secretary, inaugurated a new fair price shop in Vaigai Nagar, Ward 90, Coimbatore on July 19, fulfilling residents' long-standing request.


Coimbatore: Responding to the demands of local residents, a new fair price shop was inaugurated in Vaigai Nagar, Ward 90 of Coimbatore Puttur, falling under the Thondamuthur Assembly constituency in Coimbatore North district. The inauguration ceremony took place on July 19, with Thondamuthur Ravi, the DMK North District Secretary, officiating the event alongside Pollachi Member of Parliament K. Eswaran.

The establishment of this fair price shop marks a significant development for the residents of Ward 90, addressing their long-standing request for easier access to essential commodities at subsidized rates. The inauguration saw a large gathering of local party members and the general public, underlining the importance of this facility for the community.



Among the notable attendees were M. Rajendran, the local party secretary, M. Muthusamy, the joint secretary of the party's resolution committee, and Murali, the union party secretary. Their presence, along with other party executives and supporters, highlighted the collaborative effort in bringing this public service to fruition.



The opening of this new fair price shop is expected to benefit numerous families in Vaigai Nagar and surrounding areas, providing them with convenient access to essential goods at affordable prices. This initiative aligns with the government's efforts to strengthen the public distribution system and ensure food security for all citizens.
