Coimbatore: In light of the continuous rainfall in the Valparai region of Coimbatore district, District Collector Kranthi Kumar Pati has declared a holiday for all schools in Valparai on Tuesday, July 18.

The announcement came through an official press release issued by the Collector on July 17. The decision to close schools for a day has been taken as a precautionary measure to ensure the safety of students amid the ongoing heavy rains in the area.
