Congress Human Rights Wing Protests Against Tamil Nadu BJP Chief Annamalai in Coimbatore

Congress party members held a protest in Ukkadam, Coimbatore, condemning Tamil Nadu BJP President Annamalai's controversial remarks about the state Congress chief. The demonstration saw participation from various party wings.


Coimbatore: The Congress party's Human Rights Wing organized a protest in Ukkadam, Coimbatore, condemning Tamil Nadu BJP President Annamalai for his alleged derogatory comments against Tamil Nadu Congress Committee (TNCC) President K.S. Alagiri.



The demonstration, which took place near Valliammai Bakery in Ukkadam, was led by Imayam Rahmatullah, the State Secretary of the Congress Human Rights Wing. The protest was a response to Annamalai's recent controversial statements about the TNCC President, which have sparked outrage among Congress party members across the state.



Congress Corporation Councilors Sankar and Saravanakumar were present at the forefront of the protest. Over a hundred party members and supporters participated in the demonstration, raising slogans against Annamalai and the BJP.



The protest saw participation from various Congress party functionaries and affiliated organizations. Notable attendees included Sikandar, Kottai Ismail, Meen Abu, Kani, Abdul Rahman, Vishnu, Faisal, Kaja, Oil Riyas, Aniba, Nasser, Aris, Maideen, and Usain. Members of the district ward women's wing and the auto workers' union also joined the demonstration.

The Congress party has been organizing similar protests across Tamil Nadu, expressing their strong opposition to Annamalai's remarks. The party members demand that the BJP leadership take action against Annamalai for his alleged defamatory comments against the TNCC President.

As tensions between the Congress and BJP continue to escalate in Tamil Nadu, political observers are keenly watching the developments and their potential impact on the state's political landscape.
