Tamil Nadu Agricultural University to Conduct Training on Value-Added Products from Mushroom and Moringa

Tamil Nadu Agricultural University will host a two-day training program on July 9-10, 2024, focusing on producing value-added products from mushroom and moringa. The event aims to teach participants various food preparation techniques and entrepreneurship skills.


Coimbatore: The Tamil Nadu Agricultural University (TNAU) is set to conduct a two-day training program on preparing value-added products from mushroom and moringa. The event will take place on July 9 and 10, 2024, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM at the Post Harvest Technology Centre, Agricultural Engineering College and Research Institute.

The training program will cover a wide range of food products preparation techniques. For moringa, participants will learn to make moringa powder, dal powder, sambar powder, biscuits, adai mix, pickles, noodles, and soup mix. The mushroom-based products will include mushroom powder, soup mix, biscuits, pickles, biryani mix, and pressing techniques. Additionally, the program will provide guidance on obtaining licenses to start a business in this field.

Interested individuals can participate by paying a fee of Rs. 1,770 (Rs. 1,500 + 18% GST) on the first day of the training. The venue can be reached via Gate No. 7 of Tamil Nadu Agricultural University, located on Maruthamalai Road, Coimbatore-641003.
