Hundreds of agitated residents of Veerakeralam are presently staging a road roko in their area urging closure of Tasmac Shop which is amidst a residential colony.
'Left with no other option we are hosting this protest as the concerned Officials have not responded to our plea of closing this Tasmac from our area. The menace caused by the drunkards is growing every day and especially Women are bound to face embarrassing situations as these boozehounds tease women who pass by', said the residents.
'Tasmac inside residential areas is a shame, Government should shift all the Tasmac from residential areas to the outskirts', the residents added.
At present, the Police are trying to pacify the residents to clear the protests. B7ut the residents seem to be determined and decided to continue their protests.
