Congress Files Complaint Against Defamatory Posts About Rahul Gandhi in Coimbatore

In Coimbatore, the Congress Human Rights Division filed a complaint to the Police Commissioner against Sundaramurthi for defamatory social media posts about Rahul Gandhi and inciting religious conflicts.


Coimbatore: Today, the Congress Human Rights Division filed a formal complaint to the Coimbatore Police Commissioner regarding defamatory and inflammatory content posted on Facebook by a user named Sundaramurthi. According to the complaint, Sundaramurthy's posts have been defaming Rahul Gandhi and promoting religious discord under the guise of religious teachings.

The complaint, submitted by Imaiyam Rahamathulla, the state secretary of the Tamil Nadu Congress Human Rights Department, demands legal action under the Goondas Act against Sundaramurthi for provoking religious tensions. "The actions of individuals like Sundaramurthi not only disrespect political figures but also undermine social harmony," stated Rahmatullah in the complaint. The Congress representatives have urged quick and decisive action to prevent further disturbances.
