Encroached Government Land Worth Rs. 4 Crore Reclaimed in Sirumugai

In Sirumugai Town Panchayat's 11th ward, Silk Bazaar area, a 10-cent government land, worth Rs. 4 crore, was reclaimed following District Collector Kranthi Kumar Pati's directive.


Coimbatore: The Sirumugai Town Panchayat's 11th ward in the Silk Bazaar area witnessed the recovery of a 10-cent piece of government land valued at approximately Rs. 4 crore. The encroachment came to light following a complaint received by District Collector Kranthi Kumar Pati.



Subsequently, under the orders of the Collector, the Revenue Department led by Mettupalayam Tahsildar Chandran, along with police support, conducted a survey and identified the encroachment. The land was successfully reclaimed on July 2nd. This operation marks a significant achievement in the administration's efforts to protect government lands from illegal encroachments.
