MP K. Eswarasamy inaugurated the 'Kalaignar Varumun Kappom' medical camp at Komangalam Pudur, Pollachi. Organized annually by TN Health & Family Welfare Dept., it offers free specialist consultations and treatments under various medical schemes.
Coimbatore: The "Kalaignar Varumun Kappom" medical camp, an annual initiative by the Tamil Nadu Health and Family Welfare Department, has been inaugurated by Pollachi MP K. Eswarasamy at Komangalam Pudur. This first camp of the year featured specialist treatments for diabetes, hypertension, pediatric care, dental, and optical health.

The camp took place at the Government Primary School in Komangalam Pudur, Udumalpet Road, with a strong focus on providing accessible and free healthcare to the local community. Various specialties, including allopathy and traditional Indian medicine such as Ayurveda and Siddha, were available to the public.

Heading the camp was District Medical Officer Dr. N. Rajkumar, with the participation of local healthcare providers and public health centre doctors. This healthcare event saw a notable turnout of local residents, benefiting from the health services provided. Additionally, newly elected MP K. Eswarasamy received a warm welcome from alliance parties DMK, CPI(M), Congress, and MDMK, acknowledging his first visit to the village after assuming office.

The camp also facilitated immediate medical treatments under insurance schemes, with guidance and consultations provided by registered private hospitals. The inclusive medical event not only catered to immediate health needs but also offered educational health advice and guidance to participants.
