The contractors and authorities are struggling to connect the bridge to the canal, leading to frustration among the local agricultural community.
Despite the pipes being removed for the reconstruction of a new bridge, which was expected to facilitate better irrigation management in Kadimadai area, the completion of this bridge has been uncertain. Farmers have expressed their disappointment, hoping that the bridge would assist in water distribution for agriculture. They have warned of a protest including a road blockade if the bridge is not completed and functioning properly soon.
