Coimbatore District Collector Announces New Guidelines for Property Valuation

Coimbatore District Collector Kranthi Kumar Pati released guidelines under Tamil Nadu Stamp Act, Section 47AA, for revised market value assessment in revenue villages, and details are available on www.tnreginet.gov.in.

Coimbatore: Kranthi Kumar Pati, the Coimbatore District Collector, recently announced a significant update regarding property valuation guidelines as per the Tamil Nadu Stamp Act, Section 47AA. The new regulations, detailed under the 2010 rules, specific to Rule 4(2), mandate the creation of a Central Valuation Committee, established on April 26, 2024. The committee will oversee the assessment, publication, and revision of guidance values for properties across different revenue villages within the district.

In line with these regulations, draft guideline registers have been prepared for each revenue village and have been placed at various important government offices, including the offices of the Tahsildars and Sub-Registrars, to be accessible to the public. This action aims to ensure transparency and accessibility in property valuations, facilitating better governance.

Additionally, all pertinent details have been posted on the official website, www.tnreginet.gov.in, enabling residents to stay informed about these changes. The district administration has provided a 15-day period for public objections or suggestions regarding the revisions. These can be submitted directly to the Deputy Valuation Committee lead by the District Collector, or through post or in person at the District Collector's Office in Coimbatore.

These updates reflect the administration's commitment to maintain clarity and fairness in the property valuation process, ensuring that all stakeholders are duly informed and have the opportunity to provide feedback.
