Free Clay for Agriculture from Coimbatore Water Bodies Announced by District Collector

Coimbatore District Collector Kranthi Kumar Pati announced that farmers in Coimbatore can now apply to take vandalmann (clay) from local water bodies for agricultural use for free. This policy is effective immediately, aiding agricultural development.

Coimbatore District Collector Kranthi Kumar Pati has made an important announcement that benefits local farmers by allowing them free access to clay deposits from 83 designated water bodies within the district for agricultural purposes. This development was published in the Coimbatore district Gazette, special issues No. 3, dated 21.05.2024, and No. 5, dated 31.05.2024. Farmers wishing to avail this benefit can submit their applications immediately.

The administration aims to speed up the application process by involving local village administrative officers, ensuring that the applications are reviewed and permits granted promptly based on eligibility. This initiative is designed to support the enhancement of agricultural lands and increase the efficiency of farming activities in the district.
