Coimbatore District Court Dismisses Bail Plea of Felix Gerald

Coimbatore District Court, under Judge G. Vijaya, dismissed the bail plea of Felix Gerald, accused of defaming police personnel. The hearing took place on June 10.


Coimbatore: In a recent judicial decision, the Coimbatore District Principal Court has dismissed the bail petition of Felix Gerald, who is currently incarcerated at Coimbatore Central Jail. The court session, overseen by District Principal Judge G. Vijaya, was held on June 10, culminating in the dismissal of the plea.


Felix Gerald was arrested along with YouTuber Saukku Shankar, who had been detained for allegedly making defamatory statements about police officials and female officers. Following these arrests, charges were also filed against Gerald for releasing a controversial interview on his platform Red Pix, which led to his imprisonment.


During the hearing, senior lawyer R. Nicholas appeared for Gerald but was unable to secure his release on bail. This decision underlines the court's position regarding the gravity of the accusations leveled against Gerald.
