Coimbatore: Today, Edayarpalayam witnessed sudden heavy rainfall after a dry spell of a week. The unexpected shower, lasting about an hour, has brought much-needed relief for local farmers, enabling them to commence agricultural activities amidst the summer rains. However, the continued rain also posed some difficulties for vehicle drivers.

Similarly, Goundampalayam experienced moderate rainfall today following a week of cloudy but dry weather. The sudden appearance of dark clouds followed by rain has left the residents feeling happy and refreshed, breaking the monotony of a dry spell.
