NIA Issues Posters in Coimbatore Seeking Information on Fugitives Connected to the Ramalingam Murder Case

NIA has posted notices in various parts of Coimbatore seeking information on five individuals linked to the 2019 murder of Ramalingam in Thanjavur. A reward of Rs 5 lakhs per person is offered.


Coimbatore: In a significant development in the 2019 murder case of PMK leader Ramalingam from Thanjavur, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) has taken proactive steps to apprehend the suspects associated with the organization, Popular Front of India.



Posters seeking information on the five accused have been displayed across Coimbatore. These individuals, identified as Mohammad Ali Jinnah, Abdul Majid, Burhanuddin, Shagul Hameed, and Nabeel Hasan are linked to the brutal killing of Ramalingam.

The NIA has announced a reward of INR 5 lakhs per person, totaling INR 25 lakhs, for information that leads to their arrest. On May 25, notices were placed in various parts of Coimbatore, indicating the increased efforts by the NIA to secure leads that can help in capturing these suspects. Additionally, similar notices have been distributed across several parts of Tamil Nadu, reflecting a broader strategy to involve the public in ensuring swift justice.

The intensified search and the generous reward highlight the challenges faced in tracking down these suspects who have managed to elude capture thus far. The community is urged to come forward with any information that may assist law enforcement agencies.
