Woman Accuses Husband of Misappropriating Property Worth Rs. 20 Lakh in Coimbatore

A Coimbatore woman has lodged a complaint against her husband for allegedly misappropriating assets worth Rs. 20 lakhs. The police are investigating the case.

Coimbatore: In a shocking revelation, Anupama Mishra, a 38-year-old resident from Ramanathapuram in Coimbatore, has formally accused her husband, Senthil Kumar, of misappropriating properties and gold worth Rs. 20 lakhs. The complaint was lodged with the Coimbatore City Police Commissioner.

According to Anupama, the couple, married in April 2004, faced marital discord leading to their separation in 2008. Anupama pursued legal action to claim her share of the property reportedly bought by Senthil Kumar using her dowry. Relationships turned more complex when Senthil allegedly remarried Anupama at Alagar Kovil, Madurai in 2010 after a deceptive separation claim.

In her complaint, she stated that post their second marriage, Senthil demanded the properties under her name be transferred to him. When she refused, Senthil drove her out. She returned to her parent's home in Madurai, where she discovered that Senthil had not legally divorced his first wife at the time of their remarriage. This led to Anupama filing a case of fraud against Senthil.

Anupama's plight took a drastic turn when she was again forced by circumstances to re-marry Senthil, under family pressure in September last year in Madurai. Upon their return to Coimbatore, rather than taking her home, Senthil accommodated her in a star hotel in Race Course area and later deserted her, leading to her lodging a police complaint.

Currently, the Coimbatore Police are investigating the matter, amidst revelations of further complicated relational dynamics, including accusations of Senthil having extramarital affairs. Anupama is seeking justice for the alleged deception and misappropriation of her assets.
