First Aid Training Sessions Held for Coimbatore City Armed Police

Coimbatore Police Training School conducted a first aid training session on May 9, guided by City Police Commissioner Balakrishnan, benefiting over 180 officers.

Coimbatore: In an impressive initiative led by City Police Commissioner Balakrishnan, the Coimbatore Police Training School hosted a series of first aid training sessions. The sessions, designed to enhance the emergency response skills of the police force, will occur weekly over a month.

Today's session saw participation from more than 180 police officers, both male and female, who were trained by a private volunteer organization.

The comprehensive training included lifesaving techniques essential for immediate care in medical emergencies such as heart attacks and road accidents until professional medical help can be sought.

The motive behind these sessions is to ensure that the newly joined officers in the City Armed Police are not only well-prepared to handle emergencies but can also effectively provide first aid to the public before medical services arrive. These skills are critical, particularly for the intense demands of their duties.
