Two Men Arrested in Tiruppur for Operating Prostitution Ring in Lodging Facility

Tiruppur police have arrested two men under the Goondas Act for running a prostitution ring targeting garment industry workers, rescuing a woman from Chennai used in the operation.

Tiruppur: In a significant operation, the Tiruppur City Police have cracked down on a prostitution network operated out of a lodging facility called Kuralagam located near the old bus station. Pursuant to confidential information, the police conducted a raid on March 23 under the supervision of South Police Inspector Ganesh Kumar.

The raid uncovered ongoing exploitation of a woman from Chennai, evidencing the illegal activities conducted at the facility. Subsequently, Arun from Thiruvarur district, who was the manager, and Tamilrasan from Theni district, were arrested. The police also rescued the victim and relocated her to a women's shelter. These measures were initiated as part of a broader effort to disrupt the prostitution trade that was disturbing the peace and security of the general public.
