MLA Vanathi Srinivasan Calls for Immediate Resolution of Sewage and Pothole Issues on Sadayappan Street

South Coimbatore MLA Vanathi Srinivasan has made an urgent plea to municipal officials for the clearing of sewage blockages and the repair of potholes on Sadayappan Street, impacting over 1000 families in the Ganeshapuram 64th Ward.

Coimbatore: Addressing the concerns of the residents of Sadayappan Street in the Ganeshapuram 64th Ward, South Coimbatore MLA Vanathi Srinivasan today, February 24, issued a call to action for the Coimbatore Municipal Corporation to immediately tackle the pressing issues of sewage blockages and unattended potholes that have adversely affected the area.

Home to more than 1000 families, Sadayappan Street has been beset with recurring sewage blockages that have led to the overflow of sewage water onto the streets. This not only results in a persistent foul odor but also poses a grave health risk to the community through the potential spread of infectious diseases.

MLA Srinivasan's statement emphasized the critical nature of these issues, urging the immediate intervention of municipal authorities to clear the sewage blockages and clean the affected areas. The health and safety of the residents are at stake, with the stagnant sewage water presenting a significant public health hazard.

Moreover, the MLA drew attention to the dangerous potholes formed by saltwater on the street, which have yet to be addressed. These potholes pose a risk of accidents, particularly at night, and necessitate prompt action to ensure the safety of the community.

The request made to the municipal commissioner, Ma. Sivaguru Prabakaran, highlights the urgent need for remedial measures to alleviate the hardships faced by the residents of Sadayappan Street. By addressing these sewage and road safety concerns, the authorities can significantly improve the living conditions in the area and mitigate the health and safety risks to its inhabitants.
