The on-going construction work of Corporation Ayurvedic Hospital at Ward No:46, Ganapathy, Poonthottam area was inspected by Corporation Commissioner, Dr K. Vijayakarthikeyan. The Ayurvedic hospital is built at a cost of Rs. 90 lakhs.

Following the visit, he also inspected the renovation work of the existing library at the Poonthottam area. Rs. 15 lakh of funds has been allotted to expand the library. Deputy Commissioner P. Gandhimathi, City Welfare Officer, Maru.K. Santhoshkumar, Assistant Town Planning Officer, Jayalakshmi, Assistant Commissioner (Corporation-North Zone) Saravanakumar and other officials were present during the visit.

As a part of the routine inspection, the team of officials also inspected the sanitary work carried out in the ward. Spraying of abate mosquito repellent, segregation of wastes, removal of garbage among other works was inspected during the visit.
