Coimbatore Mayor launched several infrastructure projects in Ward No. 97, aiming to enhance the city's road quality and public amenities.
Coimbatore: Coimbatore Mayor Kalpana Anandakumar initiated multiple development projects today, including the transformation of a mud road into a tar road at Pillaiyarpuram and Nagarajapuram areas within Ward No. 97, at a cost of Rs. 24.60 lakh.

Additionally, cement concrete roads worth Rs. 18.10 lakh, streetlight installations with electric poles costing Rs. 16.20 lakh, and the construction of a new public restroom in Kondi Nagar at Rs. 10 lakh, were commenced. A new concrete road project valued at Rs. 8.68 lakh was also started. The Deputy Mayor R. Vetriselvan, South Zone Chairman R. Danalakshmi, Party Leader Karthikeyan, Assistant Commissioner Prem Anand, Assistant Engineer Kanagaraj, and Assistant Engineer Sabariraj were present at the event.

Further, a newly constructed bridge in the Pillaiyarpuram area was opened for public use by the Mayor, marking a significant milestone in local infrastructure development. The Deputy Mayor, South Zone Chairman, Party Leader, and other officials were present to mark this occasion.
