As a part of the routine inspection, today Corporation Commissioner Dr. K. Vijayakarthikeyan visited Ward:No:85 in Selvapuram area. The renovation and construction of new classrooms at a cost of Rs. 30 lakhs at the Selvapuram Corporation Girls Higher Secondary School was also inspected during the visit.
The team of officials also paid a surprise visit to Chetti Veedhi and KS Thottam of the same ward and supervised the sanitary works carried out in the residential areas on a daily basis. Spaying of abate mosquito repellents,segregation of waste management, checking of water pipe leakages, if any were also carried out during the visit.
Deputy Commissioner of Corporation, P. Gandhimathi, Urban Welfare Officer Maru.K. Santhoshkumar, Assistant Corporation Commissioner (south zone), Ravi, Assistant town planning officer, Saravanan among others were present during the inspection.
