Release of Voter Lists for Dharapuram and Kangayam Assembly Constituencies

Draft voter lists for Dharapuram and Kangayam Assembly Constituencies in Tiruppur district were released under the supervision of Collector Senthilarasan.


Coimbatore: In Tiruppur district, the draft voter lists for Dharapuram Independent Assembly Constituency and Kangayam Assembly Constituency were released today by Collector Senthilarasan. The event took place in the presence of Dharapuram Revenue Officer Govindasamy and Kangayam Revenue Officer Mayilsamy.

Representatives from recognized political parties, including AIADMK, DMK, Communist Party, BJP, and Viduthalai Chiruthaigal Party, participated in the release. The updated lists show that Dharapuram Constituency has 2,58,786 voters and Kangayam Constituency has 2,59,652 voters. Notably, the lists also include 32 individuals from the third gender, with 12 in Dharapuram and 20 in Kangayam, marking a significant inclusion.

The total number of voters in both constituencies now stands at 5,18,438. Additionally, the Collector mentioned that eligible voters who turn 18 will be added to the voter lists, in light of the upcoming elections. This initiative is part of the electoral roll revision process to ensure all eligible voters are accurately represented.
