Pongal Celebrations at Machampalayam's Arignar Anna Children's Park

Machampalayam celebrated Pongal with traditional games and competitions, drawing a large crowd including children and local residents.


Coimbatore: The Arignar Anna Children's Park in Machampalayam, part of Coimbatore's 94th ward, hosted a vibrant Pongal celebration on January 15.





The festivities included the traditional Samathuvam Pongal and fun-filled events like Uriyadi for women, musical chair contests, and fancy dress competitions for children.





The event was graced by Councillor Thanalakshmi Ranganathan, who distributed prizes to the winners of various games. A large number of local residents and children enthusiastically participated in the event, making it a grand success.
