Park Global School Celebrates Pongal with Traditional Enthusiasm

The school organized a range of traditional games such as spinning tops (Bambaram), Pachai Kuthirai (Green Horse), Oyilattam, and Uri Adithal (pot-breaking), along with dance and singing performances.


Coimbatore: Park Global School, a CBSE affiliated school of the Park Educational Group, celebrated the Tamil festival of Pongal today with great enthusiasm and traditional fervor. The school organized a range of traditional games such as spinning tops (Bambaram), Pachai Kuthirai (Green Horse), Oyilattam, and Uri Adithal (pot-breaking), along with dance and singing performances by the students.

Under the leadership of the school principal, Dr. Anusha Ravi, the Pongal festival was celebrated magnificently. Dr. Ravi highlighted the significance and the reasons behind celebrating the Pongal festival to the students and teachers.

Additionally, winners of various sports competitions held in light of the Pongal celebrations were awarded prizes. The day ended on a high note with the distribution of Pongal to all participants and the singing of the national anthem, marking the successful conclusion of the festivities.
