RPF Conducts Inspections to Prevent Tatkal Ticket Malpractices for Pongal

Coimbatore: In preparation for the Pongal festival, celebrated across Tamil Nadu on January 15, the Railway Protection Force (RPF) has initiated surveillance to prevent malpractices in Tatkal ticket bookings in trains. According to Police Commissioner Balakrishnan, special inspections are being conducted at private agencies to ensure compliance with ticket booking regulations. The move comes as a response to increased travel demand during the festival, and aims to provide fair access to train tickets for the public. The RPF's efforts are part of a broader initiative to ensure smooth and transparent travel arrangements during this busy festive season.
