Today being the petition day at the District Collectorate, people from various parts of the district submit their pleas to the Collector in the form of petition. In this regard, today the residents of Pappampatti Panchayat led by DMK District Deputy Secretary Paramasivam appealed to the District Collector on the water crisis in their area.

'Close to 5000 families reside in the Pappampatti Panchayat. We are distributed drinking water every 17 days once and that too for just half hour. The water disbursed is not sufficient even to manage for a couple of days also, hence, we are forced to buy water for money. All the seven bore wells in our area, which was supporting us during such crisis situation has also completely dried up. Hence, the district administration should take immediate action to supply water to our area through deploying additional lorry water service', said the residents through the petition.
