ArtHouz of Jenny's Club Coimbatore today hosted the third edition of 'I Rise' an event to celebrate the Women Achievers' of this city.

A 'Monochromatic' art works expo was also hosted along with the event, featuring the talents of female artists like Anna Jerly, Babita Kandanapally, Deepa K, Isaiarasi, Monisha Mohan Raj and Suhaima C.K.

The painting exhibition was inaugurated by Dr. Kalpana Narendren, Chief Pediatric Opthamalogy and Cataract Services, Aravind Eye Hospital.

Dr.Kalpana Narendran, who was the chief guest shared that, 'Compared to earlier days, women empowerment has increased multi-fold. And, it's education that has been the biggest contributor for today's women empowerment. Women have proved and still proving their skill sets and talents in various fields. Naturally, a woman is equipped with immense mental energy to do multi-tasking and fight against all odds with willpower. Amongst most of the working women, there lies a guilt if they had compromised their family to pursue their career. Women should not get into such emotional stress, instead should learn to perfectly balance between family and work'.

Dr.Kalpana Narendran and Mr.Vincent Adikalairaj, Director of L A group of Companies felicitated the awardees.The achievers who were bestowed with awards were Dr.Jayanthisri Balakrishnan - Educationalist, Jaya Mahesh -Mrs India Earth 2016 , Aparna Sunku- Fashion Designer, Hemalatha Annamalai - Entrepreneur, Karunasagari -Bharatnatyam Dancer,Chitra Krishnasamy- Environmentalist, Swarnalatha -Disability Right Activist, Kalki Subramaniam- Transgender Right Activist, Shri Vyshnavi Annush - Lifestyle Curator.

All the enterprising women who were honored shared their perception and importance of Women's day and their journey in life.
"Talking To Soul", an elegant Bharatanatyam presentation by students of Bhakti Natya Nikethan School for Arts, Coimbatore made the evening even more special.
