App launched by Gradeup to help aspirants prepare for competitive exam I

India’s largest test prep community, Gradeup, in an attempt to provide value added services to aspirants, has released a new app. This app contains paid practice tests for a number of Banking, SSC, and GATE exams. Students can purchase and practice the tests, and analyse their own performance for the exam they are taking. Within a month of getting launched - this app has already crossed 100,000 downloads on the Google play store.

Gradeup intends to provide two key benefits to aspirants - first the ability to practice fresh questions that are based on the pattern of the exams that they are taking. This directly helps students in understanding their own performance and planning for improvement. Secondly, as most of the competitive exams have moved online, students should also start practicing online but due to lack of access to PCs/laptops they are unable to do so.

However, with increasing penetration of Smartphones and internet, students can access app based content more easily. Gradeup has kept the app light and powerful and size under 4 MB so that it also work with lighter phones. Gradeup also has a web version for students who have access to PC/laptop and wish to practice on completely exam-like interface.

Commenting on this launch, Shobhit Bhatnagar, CEO & Co-Founder, Gradeup said, “Gradeup has evolved into a vibrant community of over 2 million students and aspirants where they help each other, get guidance from mentors, and practice quality questions. We plan to keep Gradeup completely free and are regularly adding new features on Gradeup app to give more value to Gradeup community. The launch of a separate test series app is in alignment with our approach of keeping the Gradeup community open and free while providing paid value added services.”

The app has questions in Hindi and English, and provides detailed answers to each question. It also gives detailed analysis of student’s performance to help them understand the strength of their concepts, and test-taking strategy. It also contains section-wise packages that help students to improve their expertise and knowledge in certain sections of the exams.

These tests are being designed by a team of experts which Gradeup has handpicked from leading teams in the industry. Susheel Joshi, VP - Content at Gradeup, added - “We’re working with the best people to create these tests, all of them are either from top colleges like IITs/NITs or have cleared Banking and SSC exams multiple times. Some of our mentors also have rich teaching experience which makes them deeply aware of the learning/application difficulties that students face and how to assess them."
