Social Activists Demand More Books in Udumalai Narayana Kavirayar Manimandapam

Social activists urge for an increased collection of books at Narayana Kavirayar Manimandapam to support students preparing for competitive exams, emphasizing the need for diverse resources.

Thiruppur: The selection of books for competitive exams at Narayana Kavirayar Manimandapam faces limitations due to various factors such as budget constraints and the absence of certain publications. Social activists have expressed their concern, highlighting the importance of a well-equipped library to aid aspirants in their exam preparations.

Narayana Kavirayar Manimandapam, located in Udumalai, is known for its valuable library resources. However, the availability of books catering to different competitive exams is restricted. A significant number of candidates visit the library daily, seeking materials for various competitive tests.

Activists point out that the current selection, consisting of approximately 2,000 books, falls short of the diverse needs of the aspirants. To adequately serve the younger generation, the library must acquire more than 5,000 books, encompassing a wide range of subjects and exam patterns.

Additionally, the collection should extend beyond textbooks, incorporating materials that cover current affairs, events, and other relevant topics. Comprehensive newspapers and magazines should be part of the resource pool to help students stay updated with the latest developments.

The activists emphasize that success in competitive exams significantly depends on the availability of appropriate study materials. Hence, they urge authorities to procure a substantial number of books, ensuring that every aspiring student finds the necessary resources. With a well-stocked library, young minds can access knowledge and information essential for their educational journey.
