Vehicles struck in traffic as Camphor tree uproots on the Ooty-Coonoor main road.


This morning, an age-old camphor tree feel off the road at Palavasi Village on the Coonoor- Ooty main road. Due to heavy rains for the past two days in Ooty and Coonoor regions, this tree was uprooted, share Officials.



At present, the fire department staff are cutting the branches of the tree and clearing the debris using JCB. However the vehicles en route to Ooty and vehicles down from Ooty have some to a standstill.
