Yesterday, a press meet was convened at the District Collectorate with representatives of all parties to discuss on the upcoming local body elections. During the meet, ward-wise electoral rolls were released.
The AIADMK representatives were shocked to find that Sulur MLA Kangaraj and his wife Rathinam's name were missing in the roll and adding to their shock, the duo's name were found in the list remarked as 'deceased voters'.
Following this incident, AIADMK cadres have raised the question that if this is the situation for a sitting MLA then what about the state of the public? Hence, they have urged that the TN Election Commission should take steps to address such grave issues and ensure a 100% updated electoral roll.
