Mentally-ill woman re-unites with family after four months, family thanks Eera Nenjam Trust.

A mentally challenged woman who had gone missing four months ago from her hometown Thriuvarur District re-united with her family in Coimbatore after four months.

A week ago, a mentally-ill elderly woman was spotted roaming in the streets of Saravanampatti, Coimbatore in a very ill mental and physical state. Good hearted Samaritans from the city informed the Eera Nenjam Trust, who run a shelter home for desolate people.

While the woman was under the care of the trust, the trust took all efforts to trace the whereabouts of this woman. Upon interaction, the woman mentioned about a temple named 'Puli Valam'. Finally, the team from Eera Nenjam trust located the temple and found that it belongs to Thiruvarur District.  The details of the woman was revealed to the local police station in Thiruvarur who in turn cross verified with their missing complaint records and found a matching record. Police informed Sathya, daughter of the woman who confirmed that the missing woman is her mother, Rajeshwari and that her mother has been suffering from mental illness.

At around 12 am, Sathya along with her family arrived to Eera Nenjam Trust and was over-whelmed to see her mother after four months. The daughter and mother hugged each other and shared their emotions.

Sathya told, 'Four months ago, my mother went missing from our home in Thiruvarur. And, since then we had been frantically searching for her in various places. We are now more than happy that she has been in safe hands and we extend our whole-hearted appreciations to Eera Nenjam Trust for comforting my mother, despite her mental illness'.

After due verification, Rajeshwari was handed over to her daughter Sathya. Though the woman was in the home for just a week, the inmates of the home paid an emotional farewell and advised her daughter to take good care of her mother.
