'All 100 wards in the city will be supplied with drinking water every six days instead of 12 days' said Corporation Commissioner Dr. K. Vijayakarthikeyan in an official meeting today.
Definitely this announcement by the Corporation is a huge sigh relief for the residents of all five zones as it is increasingly becoming difficult for the residents to handle the emerging water crisis.

Officials were advised to identify the water clogging areas in the city and de-slit the areas prior to rainfall. Lankar Kana Corner, Kikani School bridge, Kaleeswari mill road, Vadakovai and Avinashi Road flyover were some of the areas that were pointed out during the meet.
Disconnection of water connection of those residents and commercial establishments who have acquired illegal water connections was also decided at the meet.
