No water for tax defaulters, Corporation acts stern.

In a meeting convened yesterday at the Coimbatore Corporation Office, the civic body took a resolution to collect 100% of all pending Corporation taxes by acting stern on all tax defaulters.

In this connection, close to eight tax defaulters from Ward 48, 45,48,49, 53 and 54 attracted disconnection of water supply by the Corporation.

'Despite serving cautionary notices announcing of disconnection of basic utilities, the tax defaulters continued to pay no heed to the warnings, hence water connection has been disconnected. Those who are yet to clear their pending dues are hereby asked to act immediately and clear their dues to avoid such inconveniences' said. Dr. K. Vijayakarthikeyan, Corporation Commissioner.
