The Vellalore Integrated Bus Stand rescue alliance has submitted a memorandum to the Coimbatore District Collector demanding that the construction work of vellalore integrated bus stand be restarted and put to public use at the earliest.

Coimbatore: The vellalore integrated bus stand rescue team has said that if the bus stand work is completed completely, it will be much easier for all major roads to reach the neighbouring states.

The Vellalore Integrated Bus Stand rescue team has submitted a petition to the Coimbatore District Collector demanding that the construction work of vellalore integrated bus stand be restarted and put to public use at the earliest.

In their petition, they said that vellalore integrated bus stand is a long-cherished dream of the people of Coimbatore. In order to avoid traffic congestion of passengers passing through Avinashi Road, Trichy Road and Mettupalayam Road, the work of Vellalore Integrated Bus Stand has been commenced and 65 of the works have been completed at an estimated cost of About 40 crore.

Stating that all these works have been stopped completely, they said that if the bus stand is set up, it will be much easier for all major roads to reach the neighbouring states.

If the plan to construct a bus stand to other areas like Neelambur and Chettipalayam is changed, it will be more costly and delayed. Therefore, the work of the stopped Vellalore bus stand should be completed completely and put to use by the people.

They said the work has been carried out so far. It's all people's tax money. If these works are stopped completely now, people's tax money will be wasted. The rescue team complained that some people were staging various criminal activities, including consuming alcohol, inside the Vellalore bus stand, which was stopped halfway through the work.
