A large number of devotees participated in the Maha Kumbabishekam ceremony held at Sri Pattatharasi Temple at Kuppichipalayam near Dharapuram.
Tirupur: A large number of devotees from Attukalpudur, Varapalayam, Nanjiyampalayam, MGR Nagar and its surrounding areas participated in the kumbabishegam ceremony.
Kuppichipalayam Sri Maha Ganapathy, Arulmigu Sri Pattatharasi Amman near Dharapuram in Tiruppur district. There are shrines for Sri Karuppannaswami and Sri Kanyathal.
The 100-year-old temple celebrated the Maha Kumbhabhishekam in a grand manner on Wednesday.
On the occasion of the festival, Ganapathi Homam, Sri Lakshmi Pooja Homam, Navagraha Homam and Kala Yaaga pujas were performed to the deities of the parivara and performed Nadi Sandal and Deeparadhana.
Following this, kadam departure was performed from the yaga salai and holy water was brought in a procession from the yagasalai and the consecration of Sri Pattatharasi was performed first.
This was followed by maha kumbabishekam at the same time in all the deities including Arulmigu Sri Pattatharasi Vimana and all the deities. Maha Kumbabishekam theertham poured into the gopuram kalash of the temple was sprinkled on the public.
A large number of devotees from Dharapuram, Attukalpudur, Varapalayam, Nanjiyampalayam, MGR Nagar and its surrounding areas participated in it.
The arrangements for the function were made by the people of the village and former panchayat union president Shanthi Murugesh, Kandasamy V Murugan, K P Manoharan, Dhanapal, Saravanan and R Murugesh.
