Bosch works with local community partners to support schools in providing quality education. The transformation that the Gandhi Ma Nagar School in our city has witnessed under the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) project of Bosch Group is a testimony to this fact. Today, 1,200 school students gathered at the Bosch campus in Keeranatham and participated in the fun-filled day-long programme that was hosted for them by this corporate house. These are students of the 16 schools that have been adopted by Bosch group under their Model School Development project.

On the side lines of this event, Sriram T V, Centre Head, Coimbatore, Krishna, Executive Director, Anitha, Head for Human Resource and Shilpa, Head, CSR addressed the media. “Bosch is a company that is owned and managed by a charitable trust. Charity and philanthropy are an extension of the company.” Krishna said.
Seconding him was Sriram T V who said “Out of their own interests and passion, our employees involve themselves in volunteering activities. Our workforce has put in 17,500 volunteering hours in 2016 alone.” he said. “Education and environment are the two major areas that our company works towards. We have adopted about 11 schools last year and we have plans of adopting 4 schools in 2017 and converting them into model schools.” Anitha said.
One of the beneficiary schools, the Gandhi Ma Nagar School headmistress, Bhanumathi participated in this press meet. She told the media that prior to Bosch adopting this school, the school had a pass percentage of just 59% in class 10. “However, now we have 100% pass percentage. We have produced state toppers too. Our school students have won laurels in various sports and extra-curricular activities too.” she said.
