The JumpStart 2017 Conclave jointly organized by the Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, TiE Coimbatore was kickstarted today at Hotel Le Meridian.
The conclave was ianugurated today by Thiru.Ma Foi Pandiarajan, Founder of Ma Foi Consultants in the presence of Vanitha Mohan, President of Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, G.Karthikeyan President TiE Coimbatore and C.R.Swaminathan Convenor of the Jump Start Conclave
This one-day conclave will host speakers from a wide array of domains including Technology, Funding, Banking, Food and Diary etc.The speakers represent a heterogeneous group of Entrepreneurs and Professionals who work closely with entrepreneurs.
Thiru Ma Foi Pandirajan in his address to the gathering shared that Coimbatore is his professional birth place and that it always feel special to be here. 'A great entrepreneur is always a rebel and entrepreneurship is the highest profession irrespective of its scale.' he remarked.
Sharing his experiences with the gathering, he said, ' 'I personally experienced a lot of hurdles to build my business to these heights'. Unlike today, there were no funding mechanisms available. People never believed on venture capital concepts indeed they made fun of such concepts. To the contrary, today the role played by Venture Capital firms, Angel Investors, equity finance is paramount.
Nearly 15 lakh crore has come through such funding, which is undeniably a spring board to Jumpstart for all budding entrepreneurs. With the advent of incubation centres and available funding options, a start up need not wait for an years together to progress.
The three components Value, Business Model and Venture Capital has entirely changed the face of entrepreneurship. In early days, funding was looked as a predominant criteria rather than the idea/core of the business but now it's the other way round. A paradigm shift has occured in recent times', said Ma foi Pandiarajan.
He also highlighted that Amma Venture Capital initiative is expected to start off soon which will be a first of its kind in the Nation. The venture will support the entrepreneurs in funding which will help them accomplish their tasks. He also stressed that budding entrepreneurs should follow their dreams and make use of all available sources to accomplish their dreams.
The day long conclave had students from various educational institution across the city, budding entrepreneurs and members of chamber of commerce and TiE.
