Bio-digester sewage treatment plant inaugurated at CRPF premises near Thudiyalur

A bio-digester wastewater treatment plant has been opened at the CRPF premises at Rakkipalayam near Thudiyalur with the approval of Tamil Nadu Pollution Control Board and DRDO to treat all types of waste water through MAC.



Coimbatore: A bio-digester sewage treatment plant worth Rs 2.16 crore has been opened at the CRPF premises at Rakkipalayam near Thudiyalur.



A bio-digester wastewater treatment plant was opened at the CRPF (Central Reserve Police Training College) premises in Rakkipalayam area near Thudiyalur.



Through Mac, all types of wastewater have been bio-treated at the rate of 4 lakh litres per day and the water generated from it has been developed to be used for trees, gardens and parks.



Spread over an area of about 400 acres, the centre has a population of around 2,000 families. The waste water generated in daily use has accumulated in the premises area and is stinking.



In order to address this issue, a bio-treatment plant has been set up at a cost of about Rs.2.16 crore with the approval of The Tamil Nadu Pollution Control Board and DRDO to treat all types of waste water through MAC.



Through this, the various types of waste water generated there are bio-treated at the rate of 400 kilolitres per day and the water generated from it can be used for trees, plants and parks in the CRPF premises.



With this, the waste water is treated 100 per cent without the smell of foam and is used.

The inauguration ceremony was presided over by college principal Ajay Bardhan who inaugurated and inspected the ribbon cutting treatment plant at the CRPF Training College premises.



He lit a lamp and delivered a special address at the ceremony that followed.



Pawan Kumar Gupta, Senior Engineer, CPWD, Madurai, Manickam Athappa Gounder, Founder, Mac, Rajesh Kumar, CRPF Commander and others were the chief guests on the occasion.
