According to a press release issued by the Southern Railways, Salem Division, in order to facilitate the soil testing work at Virudhachalam, which is carried out as a part of Virudhachalam-Matlur line doubling project, effective from tomorrow onwards, 10 March up to 27 March, the following changes have been made to the schedule of the Salam to Virudhachalam passenger.
Train #76850 Salem to Virudhachalam passenger, which originally arrives at 12:50 noon will be terminated at Mukasaparur (before Virudhachalam) and will be operated as Train #76849 Virudhachalam to Salem passenger (that normally starts at 13:30-hours from Virudhachalam) will from tomorrow onwards until 27 March start from Mukasaparur at the said time.
Passengers travelling in this section are requested to make note of the changes and are advised to plan their respective journeys accordingly, the press release stated.
