Coimbatore: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) held demonstrations in all the 100 wards of Coimbatore city against the Tamil Nadu government. As part of this, a protest was held at Ashok Nagar area in kavundampalayam, Coimbatore. The party's national women's wing leader and Coimbatore South MLA Vanathi Srinivasan participated in the meeting.

Speaking to reporters following the protest, she said, protests are being held on behalf of the BJP in Tamil Nadu against the DMK government in the city and village panchayats and in 100 wards in coimbatore city areas.

She alleged that all the departments in Tamil Nadu are indulging in corruption and bribery and people are suffering due to this and the work is going on in all the departments at a rate. Replying to a question on the Makkal Needhi Maiam (MNM) party targeting Coimbatore South constituency and listening to people's grievances, Whoever comes and works for the people is welcome and we are doing work for the people," she said.

"Everyone should think that only people in one community are involved in incidents like coimbatore blasts and killing of Hindu brothers. She advised them that if the community supported them, the act could not be stopped again. "I appeal to Muslim organisations not to give such incidents a religious colour and disturb the peace and not to look at the terrorists as criminals and not depend on that month," she said.

The current BJP leadership has not produced second-rung leaders, asked about the RSS's remarks. She said it was just a press release and the BJP was a party that could plan and work with emphasis on the 2nd, 3rd and 4th floor leaders targeting the next 40 years.
