Thudiyalur police arrest two for smuggling ganja at the Anna Colony check post at Edayarpalayam

Acting on a tip-off that ganja was being sold in Edayarpalayam area under Thudiyalur police limits in Coimbatore, a team led by sub-inspector Kumar conducted a vehicle checking near Anna Colony check post. They seized 1.150 KG of ganja from them.


The Thudiyalur police arrested two persons for smuggling ganja at the Anna Colony check post at Edayarpalayam in Coimbatore. They also seized 1 kg 150 grams of ganja from them.

Coimbatore District Superintendent of Police Badri Narayanan, who has been taking strict action against drugs in coimbatore district, has arrested the culprits and put them in jail.

Acting on a tip-off that ganja was being sold in Edayarpalayam area under Thudiyalur police limits in Coimbatore, a team led by sub-inspector Kumar conducted a vehicle checking near anna colony check post.

At that time, two men on a two-wheeler were stopped and checked. They came to know that they had smuggled ganja. They were arrested and brought to the police station and interrogated during interrogation that they were identified as Siddhakant Sahu and Shibashankar Pathan of Vadavalli. It was also revealed that they were involved in smuggling and selling ganja.

Following this, a case was registered against them and they were produced before the court and lodged in coimbatore central jail. Police also seized one kg of 150 grams of ganja from them.
