Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) along with Indian Women Network today celebrated International Women's Day by organizing an event 'Coffee With Entrepreneurs'.
Eight Women Entrepreneurs from the city took part in the session and shared their journey and experience with the audience.

The first session of panel discussion was on the topic " Breaking the glass ceiling for all right reason" The moderator for this session was Sujatha Krishnan CEO Suvai Foods (P) Ltd.
The entrepreneurs unanimously remarked that there is no such ceiling which can stop women from achieving there goals. However, there a lot of gender specific barriers which comes along the path of a Women but women have to boldly face those struggles to acheive.
Steffy, Director of Steff Hair and Make Up, said, 'Convincing my parents was the toughest of all challenges. My dad was very apprehensive about me pursuing a beautician course and going to work. He just wanted me to get married and settle down. After lot of struggles, I finally managed to convince them for it. Unlike Men, Women are still facing these kind of issues of convincing parents, society to allow them follow their heart'.
Real-time issues faced by Women entrepreneurs and shuttling between work and family were also discussed during the session.
Event Motion, Sujatha Krishnan while signing off the first session highlighted, 'The mindset of parents and society has to change for Women to follow their dreams'.
"Hardwork is more powerful than Havard" was the second session of panel discussion. Dr.Vandana Madhavkumar, Assistant Proffessor GRG SMS, was the Moderator for this session.
The entreprenuers who were part of this session were Shyama Ridhu Varrnan, Founder Aeroxumba Fitness & Shivani Designers, Ishwarya Subramaniam, Founder mystiQ, Deepika Sampath Kumar, CEO Photraits and Suganya Subramaniam, Director Shastas Online Boutique.
During the interactive session, the audience raised questions on entrepreneurship which was clarified by the entrepreneurs. Students, working women and budding women entrepreneurs of various fields attended the session.
