Neighbours caught the thief red-handed in Vellakinar area of Coimbatore

A man who attempted to break into a house in the Vellakinar area of Coimbatore was caught red-handed by his neighbours and handed over to the Thudiyalur Police Station. The police recovered Rs 1,000 and arrested him, lodging him in Coimbatore Central Jail.


Coimbatore: A man who broke open the lock of a house in Vellakinar area of Coimbatore district and stole Rs 1,000 was arrested by his neighbours and handed over to the Thudiyalur police station.

The police registered a case against him and recovered Rs 1,000 and arrested him and lodged him in coimbatore central jail.

Vinoth, a resident of Vellakinar in Coimbatore, locked the house last evening and went to a nearby shop and returned home. At that time, the man broke the lock of his house and ran away with Rs 1,000 from the house. Seeing this, the neighbours caught him red-handed.

He was then turned over to the Thudiyalur police station. During his interrogation, it was found that he was a Nagapattinam local who worked as a caterer in the city and had smashed the house's lock and stolen Rs 1,000. As a result, the police filed a case against him, recovered Rs 1,000 from him, arrested him, and detained him in Coimbatore Central Jail.
