The Gujarat High Court verdict has come as a major disappointment to the Congress party and has been engaged in protests across Tamil Nadu.
As part of this, more than 25 Congress workers staged a protest and road blockade in front of the Palladam bus stand in Tirupur district.
Following this, the police held talks and they dispersed. City president Easwara Murthy, north district trade wing president Maniraj and south block president Punniyamoorthy participated in the protest.
