CPI(M) Activists Demand Proper Operation of City Buses in Tirupur District and Metropolitan Areas!'

As the world slowly returns to normalcy after the Covid-19 pandemic, a large number of buses are stopped in Tirupur district . This poses an issue for those who rely on public transportation to travel to their jobs or schools in urban areas, as these buses are not operating. It is essential to resume operations of these buses and order them to stop at appropriate locations.

Tirupur: In the Covid time, a lot of city buses were stopped in Tirupur district and metropolitan areas.

Since the stopped buses are not operating, students and the general public who travel from rural areas to schools and jobs in urban areas are adversely affected, and since normalcy has since returned following the corona period, the stopped buses should be operated and instructed to stop at appropriate stops.

The CPI(M) protested in front of the CTC depot on Kangayam Road in Tirupur, demanding for the operation of more buses on Saturdays, Sundays and during festival times, as well as the free transportation of women, the treatment of people with disabilities and students.

At the end of the protest, they submitted a petition to the transport depot manager pressing for their demands. They also said that there would be a massive agitation without buses plying anymore.
