Raid on Coimbatore Court Premises: Police Seize Knives, Lighters, and Gutkha Items

Recent events in Coimbatore court premises have left people in shock. Gokul was hacked to death in broad daylight a few weeks ago due to prior enmity and more recently, Siva threw acid in a water bottle at his wife who was attending the court hearing and died in hospital. In response to such tragedies, the police have stepped up their security at all the entry points to ensure public safety.


Coimbatore: Due to a preexisting grudge, Gokul was hacked to death in broad daylight near the Coimbatore court premises a few weeks ago.

Following this, Siva threw acid in a water bottle at his wife, who was attending the court hearing, and she died in the hospital.

In the wake of such incidents, the police are keeping a vigil at all the entry points in the Coimbatore court premises.

The public coming to the court premises are being allowed after strict checking.



In this situation, the police are seizing a small quantity of knives, lighters and gutkha items during the daily raids.



The suspect is being interrogated.



More than five knives, lighters and a large number of gutkha packets were seized from those who arrived at the court by noon today.
