Dr.Kavidasan, Director HR in his address emphasized that safety rules would be adhered by every one of us. 'As adherence to safety rules not only benefits us but in fact it will benefit your family, peers and the workplace too. To achieve sustainability in business, one must follow Safety, Quality and Productivity in an orderly way. What we learn from today's session should be practically applied by us in our daily life's', Dr.Kavidasan said.
K.Arul, Additional Director Industrial Safety and Health Div I in his inaugural address shared that, 'Compared to the previous years, in 2016 the number of road accidents have considerably reduced. This was because of the continuous awareness jointly created by Government and the Police Department. Importance and awareness on safety is present in everyone of us right from the birth. Proving this point, is the first foot steps of the baby. Once the baby realizes that it's safe for it to walk, it attempts to walk. But as we grow, this awareness diminishes due to many external factors which we can refer as 'pollutants'.

Home, Road and Workplace are the three places where we have to be very much aware of safety. It's often wrongly conceived that technology is a shield which protects us from mishaps at workplace and home. It's a big time misconception! During 1940's the number of mishaps recorded were more in number but the intensity was less. But today the incidence of mishaps are less but it's intensity is grave.
Parents, teachers, elders, family, friends play a major role in instilling awareness on safety to younger generation. The Government's role in creating awareness among the people especially employees on safety is very crucial. Hands on sessions on safety measures to be followed at workplace should be conducted and those industries to adhere to the safety policies should be honored to motivate others to follow the same', said K.Arul, Additional Director Industrial Safety and Health Div I.
Today's event on safety was definitely an eye-opener session for all the employees as they could understand the utmost importance of safety at work-place.
