He maintained the sandalwood tree that he had grown on his own for about 10 years on the premises of his house.

When I awoke at 12 p.m. on Sunday night, as usual, the sandalwood tree was still there, but when I awoke at 5 a.m. on Monday morning, it was discovered that the sandalwood tree had been cut down and the middle part had been stolen by the miscreants.
